Enchanting
The magnolia flower is a southern staple. They are so elegant when they bloom- large and beautiful. My neighbors have a massive magnolia tree and I always admire it. I wanted to emphasize this flower by adding colorful highlights on the petals with a deep red background for contrast.

dam dapper
It's fun to "dream up" storybook-like animal characters and give them human accessories. Dam Dapper, aka C. Dar Wood, got his name from his woodland critter qualities while wearing some trendy glasses!

Wanderer
Birds of prey are stunning to me and I am often inspired to paint them. Peregrine falcons are just one of those birds- they are incredibly fast, have exceptional eyesight, and can be found in Georgia. I started with the eye on this piece as I wanted it to be the focal point of this beautiful bird.
This piece is 10x11” in size and was completed on bamboo wood shaped in the state of Georgia. Wanderer was finished with a satin varnish and ready to hang as is! Priced at $225.00 USD.

Hoo You Lookin’ At?!
Hoo You Lookin’ At?! was inspired (and not meant to be exactly the same) by none other than Harry Potter’s owl, Hedwig. I love the Christmas scenes in the movies (and books) and wanted to take a different approach to what ‘tis the season means to me this year.

mischievous
Being nature inspired, I paint wildlife animals that are commonly seen in the North Georgia area. I wanted to create a portrait of a raccoon with a playful yet innocent look while keeping the background natural as a nod to wild animals when they are in their element. This raccoon might be up to no good, but it’s cute either way.
This piece is 7x 7x 1.25” in size (framed) and was completed on a 6x6” wooden panel. Mischievous was finished with a matte varnish and framed in a black wooden floater frame. Priced at $125.00 USD.

FALL FOLIAGE ON THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY
I look forward to visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fall because the colors are so incredible. I think many of us look forward to peak foliage in the south because its beauty is only here for a short time, and maybe that’s what makes it so special. “Fall Foliage on the Blue Ridge Parkway” was created to bring permanence to this time of year.
This original oil painting is 9 x 9 x 1.5” in size (framed) and was created on 100% cotton duck canvas (sides are also painted). Finished with a matte varnish and maple float frame. Priced at $240.00 USD.

cartoogechaye
Cartoogechaye (pronounced: car-tooga-jay) is a small town just outside of Franklin, North Carolina and means "new town" in Cherokee. If you find yourself driving through the Blue Ridge Mountains, take your time to venture off the beaten path, you might find something special!
This original oil painting was created from a picture taken on a drive home after a visit to the Blue Ridge Mountains in early fall. Both palette knives and brushes were used to create the texture seen in this painting.

Growing Season
Growing Season is an original oil painting on gallery canvas that was created with intention for the North Georgia Angel House. This piece is 6 x 6 x 1.5” and was sold at an auction event where all proceeds were donated to the North Georgia Angel House.
Growing Season was named to represent the tenacity of tree roots during the winter where they hold strong during trying times and grow for the coming seasons.
